Nikki: How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like to do?
Gaby: I tried Yoga for the first time 10 year since ago during my first pregnancy with my Son Anthony, I took Pre-natal Yoga classes and I can remember it being my favorite part of the day. I knew back then that Yoga brought something special to my life. I will try everything once, I have to be honest though you won’t find me working out at the gym very often but I do walk EVERYWHERE.
Nikki: What brought you to YogaSpark?
Gaby: Once both of my children were in school full time I finally had more free time to focus on myself , I thought doing the Karma program was such a great idea.
Nikki: What is the area of your life you feel like yoga has touched the most outside the hot room and why?
Gaby: The past 5 years have not been easy for myself and my family, we have had a lot of loss. Yoga has helped me to let go of things that I never thought I would have been able to before. It has opened my eyes to another part of myself that I didn’t know was there and I am very proud of that, its made me stronger not just physically but mentally and emotionally and the benefits of that spill over on to my family every day. I am extremely grateful.
Nikki: Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
Gaby: Keystone: Yoga has given me a sense of fulfillment and stability that I didn’t even realize was missing. Like the keystone in an arch it is the center that keeps me grounded.
