Nikki: How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like to do?
Teresa: I have practiced yoga for 4 months. And I like to do spinning from time to time.
Nikki: What brought you to YogaSpark?
Teresa: I heard about it from a friend, Nicole Sheindlin. I saw how healthy and how flexible she looked and I believed that it was because of yoga. When she told me about it, I liked that it was close to my home and my work. And I also liked how it sounded because it was hot yoga, and I heard that doing yoga in a hot temperature helps the muscles be more flexible.
Nikki: How has your yoga practice affected your daily life?
Teresa: OMG, I recover a lot of my flexibility, I feel faster and less tired. I feel that yoga has also helped with the soreness that comes from my daily routine. It is something fun that I get to share with my family and friends, bragging about the new poses I have learned or never expected I could do! With yoga I discovered how amazing the human body is, how it needs maintenance, and I have found a new appreciation for my body. But the most important thing is the internal peace that I feel after each session, I feel how the body and mind are harmonized, it feels cleansing.
Nikki: Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
Teresa: Harmony between body, soul and mind.
