Q: How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like to do?
I have been practicing yoga since my 30s, but didn’t really focus on it until about 10 years ago when Yoga Spark opened its doors! I also play tennis and hike.
Q: What brought you to YogaSpark?
I’ve always enjoyed yoga, and the fact that YS is a gorgeous, clean space with killer music and a full-body workout made me stay! It packs in so much in one hour, it’s so effective… okay, so maybe I like to add some push-ups here and there!
Q: What do you love about practicing hot power yoga?
I love that with hot power yoga, you always rid yourself of toxins no matter how much or how little you push yourself that day. I always get an amazing feeling of “reset” to go and take on the day. I guess it’s like a runner’s high, but yoga heals and we have cooler moves and poses.
Q: Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
To me, yoga is showing up for yourself, going inward to calm the mind while you outwardly build and strengthen the body… every day, just you, your breath, and that mat. That mat isn’t going anywhere, yet yoga is a journey.
Q: What's your current favorite song to flow to?
That new Billie Eilish song? Caitlyn knows the one.
Q: Do you have a favorite quote?
I like the idea of “effort and ease” - I reflect on it in many aspects of my life.
Q: What yoga pose do you love practicing right now?
Trying to do a handstand and not use the damn wall!!!
Q: Tell us one non-yoga factoid about you.
I starred in a movie in my 20s, but not gonna tell you which one!
