Nikki: How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like to do?
Don: About 3 years, but only regularly since March of this year when I started YogaSpark-ing. In addition to YogaSpark, I do strength training and boxing. I found that YogaSpark is the perfect complement to my other activities. My first thought was that it would be good for my “active rest” days but to my pleasant surprise I quickly realized this was one serious workout!
Nikki: What brought you to YogaSpark?
Don: I had trained with Julia at a prior gym and through social media I knew she was doing this hot yoga up in Westchester. When I saw that Julia was back in the neighborhood I popped into YogaSpark since I work in Tribeca! The rest is the stuff of legend.
Nikki: You like to practice early in the day. What do you enjoy about a morning practice and how does it affect your day?
Don: All the best yogis practice in the morning. Nothing better than getting up and being in final savasana before everyone else is even awake! Fantastic way to start the day with the work done and the mind clear and refreshed.
Nikki: Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
