How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like?
I’ve been practicing yoga for about 10+ years. I play in a golf league with some friends at Five Iron. Kundalini yoga and 5Rhythms are also in the mix.
What brought you to Yoga Spark?
I was walking my dog during the pandemic when I first passed by the studio. I stopped in and spoke to the staff at the front desk, and they were so friendly and upbeat. They showed me the studio and it was clean- spotless really. After my first class I was hooked…the heat, the blacklight, the good vibes. One year, 100+ classes later and I still look forward to coming!
What do you love about practicing hot power yoga?
I feel like a different person after class. Everything shifts- mind, body, spirit.
Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
One of my favorite yoga quotes is, “you’re only as young as your spine is flexible”. The goal for me isn’t really about mastering the next arm balance pose, it’s just about keeping the spine and mind flexible.
What is your favorite song to flow to?
Morning Class – Aad Sach 3x, Oslee

Do you have a favorite quote?
I’m a big Abraham Hicks fan so- ‘Be the energy you want to attract.’
What yoga pose do you love to practice right now?
I like tree because it immediately shows me how focused or scattered my mind is.
Tell us one non yoga factoid about you?
I was head coach of the women’s soccer team at American University before going into finance.
