Q: How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like to do?
Off and on for the last 17 years ! I mostly do yoga and walk a lot - but I also enjoy strength training classes and hiking !
Q: What brought you to YogaSpark?
I had just moved back to NYC last October after living in Austria and Germany for 7 years, and I was searching for a yoga studio and found Yoga Spark in the neighborhood and I instantly loved it ! I love the community and the amazing instructors !
Q: What do you love about practicing hot power yoga?
I love yoga in general because it is a full body workout where you only need your body, a mat and your breath. Hot power yoga usually involves a good playlist - and I love the balance of having to quiet the mind and meditate, but at the same time getting a great workout. The hour always flies by - it's the perfect start to my day!
Q: Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
Practice and Peace.
Q: What's your current favorite song to flow to?
Anything Christina B. plays - I love her playlists because they go with the flow of the hour but the songs aren’t distracting either.
Q: Do you have a favorite quote?
"How you do anything, is how you do everything." I heard that a long time ago in an online yoga class, I really like that quote.
Q: What yoga pose do you love practicing right now?
Half Moon, Half Pigeon, and I love Pyramid !
Q: Tell us one non yoga factoid about you
I have worked in fine dining and Michelin starred restaurants for the last 14 years in NYC and Europe and I have a 6 year old Lagotto Romagnolo dog named Rhia !
