Q: How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like to do?
I have been practicing yoga for about 15 years now and don’t ever plan to stop! I also love tennis, horseback riding and hiking, but yoga is definitely my go to.
Q: What brought you to YogaSpark?
I was searching the city for a yoga HOME and found Yoga Spark and its beautiful community so welcoming. Not to mention that the teachers are fantastic and the staff are so supportive, THANK YOU!
Q: What do you love about practicing hot power yoga?
I love the intensity of hot yoga as well as the mindful practice. It is truly the best of both worlds: high intensity plus meditation.
Q: Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
Lightning Rod. The practice of yoga takes my mental and physical energy and gives it a focus. It helps to ground and clear my scattered, and sometimes negative thoughts, so that I have the freedom and mental space to choose gentler and kinder thoughts. Yoga makes me a better human being.
Q: What's your current favorite song(s) to flow to?
It is hard for me to pick just one song. I am a sucker for “Something Just Like This” by the Chainsmokers/Coldplay, “Titanium” by David Guetta and anything by Prince. Oh, and when I am cooling down, “The Book of Love” by Peter Gabriel.
Q: Do you have a favorite quote?

Q: What yoga pose do you love practicing right now?
Right now, I am fascinated with Bound Half Moon. I am not stable in the pose yet, but for those few seconds when I am in it, I feel like I am flying.
Q: Tell us one non yoga factoid about you
I enjoy baking and make a mean oatmeal chocolate chip cookie.
