Nikki: When did each of you start practicing at YogaSpark? Was it at the same time or different and who brought who to the studio?
Lauren: I started at YogaSpark first. A friend of mine got really into hot yoga in the city so I started to look around for a place here in Westchester. That is how I found YogaSpark and introduced it to Aaron soonafter.
Nikki: What is your favorite part about coming to yoga together?
Aaron: It is a great opportunity to exercise together which is something we very rarely get to do. Plus, despite the fact that we both go at are own pace, we are both on the same level afterwards, in both body and mind.
Lauren: For starters, it is a break from our kids. But, more than that, I love to see Aaron really engaged in his practice and stretching himself both physically and mentally. He is so much happier afterwards. We both are. Most of the time we do not get to YogaSpark together--but we make it a priority that Aaron gets there at least once a weekend. I think part of being a "Yoga Couple" is making time to make it happen, even when activities, work, and even sleep seems to say otherwise.
Nikki: Can you each give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
