Yogi of the Month

June 2019 Yogi of the Month

Victoria Lindenmeyer

Victoria started at the studio on a whim but soon became an important part of the YogaSpark community.

Nikki: How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like to do?

Victoria: I just started yoga about 6 weeks ago! Ever since then, it has taken the cake for my favorite form of exercise, however, I do enjoy running and biking when it's sunny out.

Nikki: What brought you to YogaSpark?

Victoria: Honestly, I was having a really hard time at college and with friends, so I needed a place to go and get away for it all. I remembered looking up yoga places nearby and seeing YogaSpark, so I made a quick call to see if they had room in the next class and ran over. The moment I got there, I was surrounded by supportive and loving energy from everyone who works at YogaSpark! I never thought I’d find such an amazing, inspiring, and judgment-free community, let alone one that I could call family!

Nikki: You just finished a 2700 degree challenge (30 days of yoga!). What was the most challenging and most rewarding part of the challenge?

Victoria: The most challenging part is getting out of bed or getting home from work, and finding the motivation to go to the studio, rain or shine. I will say that the moment I put on my workout clothes, I’ve gotten through the hardest part of it all. As far as the most rewarding part, you really can’t beat the photo of your beautiful, sweaty self that gets to go on the Wall of Flame. Walking by that wall and knowing that one day I’ll be up on there too is what really kept me motivated through it all.

Nikki: Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?

Victoria: Mentally, physically, and spiritually freeing
