Nikki: How long have you practiced yoga and what other forms of exercise do you like to do?
Stephanie: I've practiced yoga for about four years but really got into it after my first class at YogaSpark two years ago. If I'm not practicing yoga, I'll either be running outdoors or in some type of HIIT class with my team #thesweatlfe
Nikki: What brought you to YogaSpark?
Stephanie: Lululemon. Working for a company that is so rooted in community, I felt like I needed to explore what yoga in a studio would be like as opposed to my home practice. I was SO nervous to take my first class and now I'm so grateful that I did because YogaSpark is my second home!
Nikki: You have such a beautiful practice. Do you have a favorite pose? And if so, why?
Stephanie: Aw, thank you! My favorite pose definitely varies from practice to practice. I love any warrior sequence and working my way into the fullest expression of the pose through binding, arm balancing or inverting. I love seeing the progress that can happen when you allow your breath to do the work!
Nikki: Can you give a word or phrase that describes yoga to you?
Stephanie: In my experience yoga is a learning process. When I'm on the mat, I learn about myself, my body and my purpose. It's my time to understand how to not take myself so seriously, and go with the flow!
