Be an Instructor

Want to spread the Spark? We love people with the energy, sass, and skill to lead a room of yogis through a kickass hot power session. We recommend you come take class with us a few times, and then email to let us know you’re interested in setting up a private audition.

We know it’s hard. You’ve been busy all week, your spouse is off doing errands, you’ve got two riled up kids, and all you want is one hour to get your sweat on. It’s the age-old dilemma: how can I get in a workout without ignoring my parental obligations?

Guess what? We offer childcare! Specifically, Saturday/Sunday during the 9:30am class. We have a 40” TV with tons of kid-friendly DVDs, toys for a variety of ages, and plenty of art supplies. The cost is just $5 per child per hour.

A few requests

Our babysitter is our admin, so she’ll need to be at the front desk for a few minutes to finish checking in the class. Your kids will have to hang out by themselves (or with you) in the kids’ room until 5 minutes after class starts. After that, the front door will lock and she will be in the room with your kids until you pick them up.

Child care costs $5/child/hour. You’re welcome to stay after class to shower if you need to – you’ll just have to pay a little extra for the extended time.

Please make sure to put your little one in a diaper if they are still potty training.

Snacks are not allowed, but they can have a covered/non-spillable drink.

Regardless of age and pristine behavior, no unattended kiddos are allowed during the class times not mentioned above.

Feel free to bring the iPad, DVDs, games, or toys from home that your child would like to play with, just remember to collect them all before you head out.

Locker Rooms

We have two super-clean showers in each of the men’s and women’s locker rooms. We offer luxury bath items provided by RedFlower including shampoo, conditioner, body and face soaps and lotions, hair dryers and other goodies. We are obsessed with good-smelling products and always adding new ones! You are welcome to bring your own lock for your locker.

We have extremely limited parking in the lot next to YogaSpark. Please allow yourself an additional 5-10 minutes to locate parking, particularly for the evening classes. We recommend metered parking on either Mount Pleasant Avenue, Mamaroneck Avenue, or Stanley Avenue. There are also metered lots off of Mamaroneck Avenue, most notably behind the Payless ShoeSource. The meters only take quarters, so be ready. If you happen to be all out of quarters, we can make change in the studio.

Note: Unless you have the applicable permit, or the permit time on the sign allows it, do not park in spots labeled “permit parking” or “train station” parking. You’ll appreciate the saved headache, we promise.
